FVSU Alumnus Becomes New Mayor of Montezuma, GA

The FVSU National Alumni Association, Inc. proudly congratulates FVSU alumnus Charles Ivey on his appointment as the new Mayor of Montezuma, Georgia!

Mr. Ivey earned a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education from Fort Valley State University and an Education Specialist certificate in Educational Leadership and Administration from Columbus State University.

A retired agriscience instructor and former soil conservationist, Mr. Ivey also served for several years as a member of the Montezuma City Council. His years of service, leadership, and commitment to the community have prepared him well for this new opportunity to lead and serve the citizens of Montezuma.

We are especially proud that Mayor Ivey remains a proud and active alumnus of the FVSU National Alumni Association, Inc., Macon County Area Alumni Chapter.
