FVSU Gospel Choir Wins Stellar Award

Congratulations to the Fort Valley State University Gospel Choir, under the outstanding direction of Ms. Alicia Carner-McDonald, on winning the inaugural Stellar Awards “HBCU Choir of the Year” Award (ft. Loren Michelle and Tiffany Boone)!

The Gospel Choir was selected as one of the Top 5 HBCU Choirs in the nation, alongside Howard University, Morgan State University, North Carolina A&T State University, and Southern University.

This historic award marks the first time a major televised national gospel awards show has created a dedicated competitive space celebrating the rich musical heritage, excellence, and training ground that HBCU gospel ministries provide.

We are incredibly proud of the hard work, talent, faith, and dedication of our students—and the exceptional leadership of Ms. Carner-McDonald.
