Fort Valley State University has announced the launch of a national search committee to find its next president.

The university’s fall 2025 peak enrollment stood at 3,177, according to the most recent report tracking federal grant funding. Fort Valley State University National Alumni Association Inc. President Garren Walker said retention is a key priority for the incoming leader.

While death is indeed inevitable, it does not lessen the sting of grief. Over the past several weeks, our Wildcat Family has experienced the loss of many beloved alumni and friends, including three within the past few days. We ask that you keep the families of the following Wildcats in your thoughts and prayers.
