The Memorial Service for Dr. Romelda Y. Simmons to Be Held on June 29

Fort Valley, GA–The Memorial Service for Dr. Romelda Y. Simmons will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025,at 4:00 p.m. at Fort Valley State University in the Health and Physical Education Complex. Doors will open at3:15 p.m.

Dr. Simmons dedicated more than three decades of her life to Fort Valley State University. All members of the campus community, alumni, friends, and supporters are invited to attend. At her request, attire is Blue and Gold in honor of Dr. Simmons’ legacy and Wildcat spirit.
