Fort Valley State University National Alumni Association, Inc. Announces Las Vegas, Nevada as the Host City for the 2026 Biennial Conference

Fort Valley, GA–The Fort Valley State University National Alumni Association, Inc. (FVSUNAA) is proud to officially announce that the 2026 Biennial Conference will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada. This exciting selection was formally approved during the June 2025 Board of Directors Meeting following a compelling proposal by the newly chartered Las Vegas Alumni Chapter.

President Garren M. Walker ‘22, the 28th National President of the FVSUNAA, shared, “I am thrilled to announce our 2026 conference location well in advance so that Wildcats near and far have time to prepare. This decision reflects our commitment to expanding alumni engagement and embracing fresh, innovative ideas that reflect the energy of our growing alumni base.”

Under the leadership of Colette Towles ‘22, the Las Vegas Chapter has already begun laying the groundwork for an unforgettable conference experience.

“The Las Vegas Chapter was inspired to pursue hosting the 2026 Biennial Conference because of our strong desire to expand the Wildcat footprint in the western region and create a welcoming space for alumni who may not always be able to attend events closer to the East Coast,” said Towles. “We saw this as an opportunity to unite Wildcats from across the country in a city known for its energy and entertainment, creating a memorable and engaging experience.”

Attendees can look forward to a dynamic blend of professional development, Wildcat fellowship, and entertainment. From vibrant nightlife and iconic attractions to world-class dining and cultural experiences, Las Vegas promises to provide a backdrop unlike any other.

“Our chapter plans to weave FVSU pride into every aspect of the conference,” Towles continued. “From themed events and panels featuring Wildcat leaders to a spotlight on alumni excellence and community service, we aim to celebrate our university’s legacy while creating new memories that embody the spirit and resilience of FVSU.”

Travel packages and conference registration details will be released during the Fall Business Meeting on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the C.W. Pettigrew Farm and Community Life Center on the campus of Fort Valley State University.
