Celebration of Life of FVSU Alumnus, Dr. Jacques Surrency
The Fort Valley State University National Alumni Association, Inc. mourns the loss of our fellow Wildcat, Dr. Jacques Surrency, and celebrates a life devoted to Fort Valley State University, education, and service.
A proud and dedicated alumnus of Fort Valley State University, Dr. Surrency was a member of the Class of 1993. In August 2003, he returned to his beloved alma mater as a faculty member, beginning a remarkable 23-year legacy of service. As a distinguished professor and Plant Science Program Coordinator within the College of Agriculture, Family Sciences and Technology, Dr. Surrency dedicated himself to educating, mentoring, and inspiring the next generation of Wildcats.
Dr. Surrency also served as a leader within the FVSU Warner Robins Area Alumni Chapter (WRAAC), where he poured his heart into uplifting others and strengthening the bonds of the Wildcat family. His impact was felt both on campus and throughout the alumni community through his unwavering devotion to education, service, and the success of others.
Dr. Surrency’s life represented the Wildcat Spirit—a commitment to excellence, service, leadership, and the advancement of others. His legacy will continue through the students he taught, the alumni he served, the colleagues he inspired, and the countless lives he touched.
We extend our deepest and most sincere condolences to his family, the FVSU NAA, Inc. Warner Robins Area Alumni Chapter, the Fort Valley State University community, and the entire Wildcat family.
